How to Negotiate the Best Price for Your New Car in India
By AutoBharosa Team
Negotiating a car price in India is part research, part timing, and part walking-away power. Start by getting at least three written quotes from different dealers in your city, then compare on-road price line by line — ex-showroom, RTO, insurance, accessories, handling. Most dealers pad accessories and handling; these are the easiest wins. Time your purchase for end-of-quarter (March, June, September, December) and end-of-month, when dealers chase volume targets. Avoid loan offers from the dealer's preferred bank — get an independent quote from your own bank first. Finally: be polite, be patient, and always be willing to walk away. If a dealer knows you have a better quote elsewhere, the price drops.
